Sports at the Lyceum Alpinum Zuoz

Sports have always had a great tradition at the Lyceum Alpinum and accordingly they play an important part in the life of the school. The school motto "mens sana in corpore sano" indicates the fundamental value of physical activities as the basis for the development of the whole person. Sporting values such as "Team Spirit" and "Fair Play” still guide us in the physical education of our students. A comprehensive Games and Physical Education programme acts as the main vehicle to deliver these values to our students.

School Teams

In addition to the compulsory Physical Education and Games, students may be selected for our school teams, depending on their interests and talents. The aim of developing these teams is to prepare the team members specifically for various sports events, for example, the Grison or Swiss School Championships (BMM/SMM) as well as various Swiss Group of International Schools (SGIS) tournaments. Throughout all the seasons our students have the opportunity to attend extra-curricular training sessions in a wide range of activities.
