From Tradition to Innovation: How Le Rosey Prepares Students for the Future

Since 1880, Le Rosey has championed holistic education. Its motto, ‘Actis Virtus’, expresses the belief that action determines what we dream. This principle has been a tradition for a century and a half.

That journey starts on our two campuses: by the lake in Rolle and in the mountains in Gstaad. This annual migration is a rhythm of renewal that teaches Roséens to adapt and embrace change. Each environment brings its own opportunities to grow academically and personally.

Our latest step forward is Φlo, a new purpose-built space for teaching, innovation and entrepreneurship. But Φlo is more than a building; it’s a bold commitment to creative and future-focused thinking and learning.

In partnership with MITdesignX, Roséens will now have access to hands-on mentorship from real entrepreneurs in residence, working through problem-solving frameworks and exploring how an idea can move from concept to launch. They’ll be challenged to think beyond academic achievement and to see themselves as innovators, collaborators, and leaders in a global context.
