Institut Le Rosey is setting a new standard for education with two transformative projects—the φLo building and the Academic & Entrepreneurship Centre—that celebrate creativity, collaboration, and real-world innovation.
φLo: A Space Where People, Pedagogy & Place Meet
Institut Le Rosey teachers are reimagining how learning happens by exploring the interplay of people, pedagogy, and place.
𝛗Lo was designed to spark encounters—moments where Roséens can pause, reflect, and think together—and this vision has already come to life as teachers re-shape the curriculum in unexpected corners of the building:
- The terrace became a lively forum for debate.
- Sofas in the lounge transformed into a circle for dialogue and discussion.
- The stage evolved into a start-up style pitch platform.
These spontaneous uses of space highlight how 𝛗Lo’s flexible design fosters new approaches to teaching and learning.
Innovation by Design
Spanning 16,000 m² with 90 adaptable classrooms and cutting-edge labs, φLo also hosts initiatives like the Rosey Impact Accelerator and MITdesignX Le Rosey, ensuring that entrepreneurship and experimentation are at the heart of daily life.
The Academic & Entrepreneurship Centre
Complementing φLo, the new Centre—now under construction—will feature mega-labs, an outdoor environmental lab, a Maker’s Lab, and spaces for Entrepreneurs-in-Residence. Its transparent architecture and open layouts are designed to bring disciplines and people together, promoting cross-curricular projects and real-world application of knowledge.
Looking Ahead
At Institut Le Rosey, learning is no longer confined to traditional classrooms. With 𝛗Lo and the upcoming Academic & Entrepreneurship Centre, the school continues to experiment with dynamic ways of teaching, ensuring students grow as thinkers, creators, and innovators.
